Terms of Service

Effective date: May 27, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 27, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PR Autopilot (the "Service"), a GitHub App that automatically generates pull request descriptions using AI. By installing or using PR Autopilot, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

PR Autopilot is a GitHub App that listens for pull request events in your repositories. When a pull request is opened without a description, the Service generates one using an AI model and writes it back to the pull request. The Service is available on GitHub Marketplace.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PR Autopilot only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

3. AI-Generated Content

PR descriptions generated by PR Autopilot are produced by an AI model and may not be perfectly accurate, complete, or appropriate for your use case. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and accepting any AI-generated content before it is used in your development workflow. The Service adds a footer to generated descriptions indicating they were AI-generated and can be freely edited.

4. Plans and Billing

PR Autopilot offers the following plans via GitHub Marketplace:

Billing is handled by GitHub Marketplace. You agree to GitHub's Marketplace Terms of Service in addition to these Terms. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as offered by GitHub.

5. Intellectual Property

PR Autopilot and its underlying code remain the intellectual property of the developer. AI-generated PR descriptions produced by the Service are provided to you without restriction — you may use, edit, and publish them freely as part of your development workflow.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated descriptions will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of PR Autopilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Termination

You may uninstall PR Autopilot at any time through your GitHub settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms, at our sole discretion.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
