PR Autopilot reads your diff and writes a clear, structured description the moment you open a pull request. Your reviewers will thank you.
Before & After
Replaced the synchronous inventory check in checkout.ts with an async call. Added a CartValidationError class to handle out-of-stock edge cases without crashing the payment flow.
The sync call was blocking the event loop during high traffic, causing checkout timeouts. Fixes #241.
jest checkout.test.tsHow it works
Click Install, choose which repos to connect. Takes 90 seconds. No code, no config files, no CI changes.
Just push your branch and open a pull request as you always have. Leave the description blank or write a quick note — doesn't matter.
Within seconds, PR Autopilot reads your diff and fills in a structured description. It's editable — your words, your context, just the skeleton is done.
Features
Doesn't just look at filenames. Reads your code changes and understands what was added, removed, and restructured.
The generated description goes directly into the PR body. Edit it, extend it, or delete sections you don't need. It's a starting point, not a constraint.
Already wrote something? PR Autopilot detects it and stays out of the way. It only activates on empty or near-empty descriptions.
Adds a pr-autopilot label so your team knows which descriptions were AI-assisted. Full transparency, no surprises.
Runs on the GitHub Apps platform. We see the diffs GitHub sends us, nothing more. No cloning, no storing, no training on your code.
Description is posted within 5–15 seconds of opening a PR. Reviewers see it before they've even clicked in.

FAQ
Does it work on my existing PRs?
No — it activates when a PR is first opened (or reopened/converted from draft). It won't retroactively touch existing PRs.
What if I already wrote a description?
PR Autopilot checks the existing body before doing anything. If you've already written 3+ meaningful lines, it skips the PR entirely and stays out of your way.
Can I customize the format?
Custom templates are on the roadmap for Team plan users. For now, the output follows a consistent What / Why / How to test / Notes structure.
Does it read my entire codebase?
No. It only sees the diff that GitHub sends in the webhook payload — the actual lines changed in the PR. It never clones your repo or accesses history.
What model does it use?
Claude Haiku (Anthropic) — chosen for speed and accuracy. Each description takes about 2–5 seconds to generate.
How do I uninstall it?
GitHub App → Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps → Configure → Remove. Takes 10 seconds. All generated descriptions stay (they're just text in your PRs).
Install in 90 seconds. Free for public repos.
